About Kris Heitman

Kris is the foundation of The Herons Group. She’s been licensed since 2011 and officially formed the team in 2020, building it around a more collaborative, hands-on approach to real estate. Licensed in both Virginia and Nebraska, she works with clients across state lines and understands what it takes to keep a move running smoothly from start to finish.

As a military spouse for over 20 years, Kris has firsthand experience with the pace and unpredictability of relocation, which shapes how she guides her clients today. She’s also the creative force behind the scenes, with a strong eye for design and a natural ability to bring a space together in a way that resonates with buyers. From staging to strategic updates and pricing, her approach is focused on what will actually make an impact—not just what looks good on paper.

Outside of real estate, Kris has been married to her husband Eric for 36 years and is a proud mom of three and grandmother to nine. She loves cooking with her family, glamping, boating, and spending time working on pottery—anything that lets her slow down and be creative outside of work.
